We responsibly practice sustainable agriculture by implementing agroecological practices such as, maximizing crop diversification, organic fertilization, water and invertebrate conservation. We enhance carbon uptake by minimizing soil disturbance, maximizing biodiversity in the soil, cover cropping or mulching, applying compost yearly, and practicing agroforestry in our agave plantations. We are passionate about conserving and propagating our native plants in our various hedgerows and pollinator habitats to make sure the pollinators have a diversity of nectar and pollen all year long. We are powered by solar; we have moisture monitors to conserve water, we practice dryland farming by planting climate resilient plants such as agaves; we have shelterbelts with nitrogen fixing and native trees. Our goal is to farm in harmony with nature, to welcome and protect wildlife, invertebrates and biodiversity, and to conserve water.
